This year I taught the 3rd and 4th grade Vacation Bible School class. We had a great time. The theme this year was "Rescue Zone: Saved by God's Power". The platform was decorated with a firetruck, Helicopter, rafts and safety cones. Our class name was the police and we all dressed as the police would. I decorated a corner of my room as a crime scene complete with crime scene tape and a chalk drawing of a victim on the floor.
This is Bro. Miller all dressed up as fire fighter and leading the songs. He did a great job and the songs for this year's theme were great.
Vacation Bible School 2007 Group Picture. The Lord blessed this year and on the first day we had our highest first day attendance of just about 100. We ended the week with about 117 children. What a great week.
This is Bro. Donley blowing up the balloon. Everyday in the closing rally, Bro. Donley would blow into the balloon as many times as the number of children that attended. Each day the balloon got bigger. Today they filled the balloon with flour so when it popped the flour went every where. The kids just loved it.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing a glimpse of VBS this year. We are thankful for what the Lord did this week. I did not have any salvation decisions in my class and as far as I could tell all the students were saved so I worked to encourage the students in trusting God during the times that they need to be "rescued" and encouraging the students to tell others about the Lord. Over all the Lord blessed and we had a great week. It is off to Glacier National Park tomorrow so I will post pictures of the trip next week. Have a great day!!!!
