Spring Break Weekend!!!

Last weekend we went over to Seattle to get our rings checked and to see our family!!! We arrived at the Alderwood Mall in Seattle, WA and were met there by Oldamor and Aunt Leanne!!! (This is my grandmother and aunt on my Dad's side. There we helped Oldamor purchase an iPad, got our rings checked and made a quick run through the American Girl store. We then headed over to Uncle Tim's house where we able to see the baby lambs that were just about a week old!! The girls loved the lambs and time spent with their family!! We then headed to Oldamor's house to play games and relax!!! Well, we did play games but about 7:30pm ALL of our phones started ringing and a house the church owns as a rental property was on fire and burned to a total lose!! Well, we were in Seattle and there was nothing we could do!!! Things were under control with the help of amazing deacons and a wonderful church family!!!

The next morning we met GAP and Gus, cousin Holly, Uncle Tom and Uncle Bob for breakfast and had a great visit with them!! We made summer plans for an east side visit and opened "surprises" from GAP. (Great Aunt Pam)

Over all we had a great time and the house fire will be a different post!!!:). Even in the fire God is good!!! More later!!! Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!!!

First Responder Shout-Out

Here's a great big shout out for my Uncle Dean and Aunt Sheila who got to ride in the Seattle St. Patrick's Day Parade. My Uncle Dean has been a fireman for many years and risked his life on many occasion to help others!! Thanks Uncle Dean for all you do to help others!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

With the last name of "Boyle" I would be remiss to not mention my Irish heritage on this eve of the Irish holiday!!! My Papa Boyle loved being Irish and I think each of his children and grandchildren got a piece of his Irish pride!!

I don't believe in luck. I believe there is a all-knowing, all powerful Creator God who loves each and every one of us. The first way He shows us this love is to provide a way of salvation. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." The second way he shows his love to us is to provide a plan for our lives. You see we can reject Christ and spend an eternity in Hell or we can accept God's wonderful gift of Salvation and trust Him for our eternity in Heaven!! You see when we place our trust in Christ we have nothing to worry about!! We don't need "luck". We have the Creator God leading and guiding us in all that we do!! I am thankful for my physical heritage but I am evermore grateful for a spiritual heritage!!! By choosing Christ, we gain the greatest heritage of all!!
Psalm 16:6. "The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage."

Go Zags!!!!

It is so exciting to say that this week on Monday the Gonzaga Men's Basketball team was ranked #1 in the nation.  Our whole city has Zag fever and we are excited for March Madness.  As I love to say every March, "Let The Madness Begin.":),

Wow, Has It Really Been A Whole Year?

I really can't believe that it has been a whole year since I have blogged.  Then again, I can!!!  To anyone who follows this blog on a consistent basis, I am sorry that I have neglected telling our story.  Well, a lot has happened in the last year.  Lindsey is 4 and as grown up as ever.  She has been learning to sit in church and learning so much in Sunday School, Jr. Church and Patch Club.  This year we started a club for the girls of our church.  The name of the club is Stepping Stones.  The theme verse is I Peter 2:21, "For even hereunto were you called, because Christ also suffered for us leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps."  The girls also learned the first and last verse of "Stepping In The Light."  We meet on Sunday afternoons before church and the girls are learning different sewing skills, crafting and homemaking skills.  The girls have different categories that they learn in their books.  Lindsey is having a great time.  She is so cute and loves all the things that she is learning.  This last Christmas we got Lindsey a violin.  She has loved learning the violin and is learning that it is not all fun and there is some work to learning an instrument.  She will be starting Kindergarten this fall and we are still praying that she will receive Christ as her Savior very soon.

Now for Lauren!!!  She is our corker.  She is full of life.  She is walking and talking well and can not be stopped.  She makes us laugh all the time.  She loves her Nana and Papa, as does Lindsey.  Lauren loves to play and push her sister's buttons.  She is counting and is starting to learn her "C, D's".  That would be her "A, B, C's".  The world is opening up to her and she is loving life.

Jake is still teaching Bible in the Christian School and working with the Youth Ministry, as well as whatever the Pastor (Dad) asks him to do.  I have had the opportunity to teach a history class this semester and am loving it.  It has been a time of adjustment in out schedule but the Lord is ever faithful and is helping us as we serve Him.

Well, I know I have said this before but I am going to try to blog once a week and keep those of you who keep up with our family this way more informed.  We love you all and ask that you would pray for us as we serve the Lord as a family.  Have a wonderful day!!!
