UT - Georgia Football Game

OK, we may have moved 3,000 miles away and we love our church, ministries, apartment, the outdoors and wildlife, but we never let go of our love of the University of Tennessee. On the spiritual side, we loved the Bible study every Monday night and who can deny that there is nothing like "Good Ol' Rocky Top" and "Football Time in Tennessee." We have worked hard to keep track of the schedule and to see every game that we can. One of the little regrets I have is that in all of my years of living in Knoxville I never went to a football game at Neyland Stadium. I know, you must be thinking, "How could you let this happen?" So know it is October 6, 2007. We went to Sandpoint, ID to watch the game with our good friends the Samples family. Now as you will see in the next few pictures they are die hard Georgia Bulldog fans. We had snacks, pizza, soda and all the good football snacks. Enjoy the next few pictures. We did not get any snap shots but these were taken in Angie's studio in their home. Angie is a photographer and you can see her work at http://www.specialimagesphotography.net/. Enjoy the moments and thank you for stopping by. Asa was sad after Georgia's 35-14 loss to the University of Tennessee.
Asa thought if Georgia can't beat up on Tennessee, he would beat up on the fans.
Best buddies!!!!
The Samples kids and all their team spirit. They were so cute.

love this post! we have an entire room--our office and tv room--painted bright orange with white stripes! once you live in knoxville i think you're a UT fan for life!! Anson watches every game that's on and has way too many tennessee shirts!!! too bad canadians just don't understand the importance of college football!!

Don't feel bad about never making it to Neyland. :) I've lived an hour from the stadium my entire life and I've never been! I think it would be neat, but I'm not excited about noisy crowds right now. :) Who knows, it may still work out for you to go sometime.

How nice that you can actually watch football. Up here they don't even know what the SEC is, let alone the Tennesse Vols! We definitely miss it too. However, it looks like we're gonna have to become hockey fans. Go Oilers!!!

Braden and Ringo just went to their first game a few weeks ago. Even though we live right here, I still enjoyed hearing Rocky Top! :)

I got you beat, Amy. I have lived in TN for 25 years and have never been to a game. I told Tom, that I would love to go this year. I sure hope that it happens. :)

Hey Amy! We love the Vols too! Mark was able to go to the game on Saturday and loved it. I try to watch or listen to most games. My brother and his wife just had a baby this week and her coming home from the hospital outfit was a UT cheerleader outfit (complete with a pom pom on her wrist.) My, My, do you think we take it a little too far?

Great to catch up with you! Abby is still one of your loyal fans!

Jimmy and I went to every home game when we dated and that is the year they won the National Championship. We even went to the SEC championship game in the Georgia dome on our honeymoon. What a blast! Of course, Jimmy is UT alumni so he bleeds orange!:)
I miss football Saturdays but I don't think we would have the time on Saturday's anymore to watch football!! We keep up with the scoreboard online though!
Hey, you all ought to get together with Nevin and Jennibeth sometime! He is a die hard UT fan also!
